The two girls in the same spots. Sandrine has finally had a growth spurt in the last few weeks and now weighs a whopping 26 lbs! She just turned 3 last week. Nyssa is 4.5 mos and to my surprise last friday, she weighed in at only 10 lbs 14 oz, dressed! I was sure she was closer to 13-14 lbs, but we re-took the weight twice to be sure. /-§§-/ Les deux filles dans les mêmes positions. Sandrine vient d'avoir une poussée de croissance dans les dernières semaines et pèse finalement un gros 26 livres! Elle a eu 3 ans la semaine passée. Nyssa a maintenant 4,5 mois et à ma surprise vendredi dernier, elle ne pèsait que 10 livres 14 onces, habillée! On a repris son poids à deux reprises pour en être certain.

Around 7.5 mos of age, Nyssa's Fisher Price Stay-in-view was getting small on her AND the harness adjustor strap was fraying so I sent it back to Fisher Price for a refund (lucky me!). At that point in time, Nyssa had to go in my Roundabout and Sandrine moved into the Maxi-Cosi Priori. ::sob:: Not that I dislike the MCP...far from it! But I wanted to keep Sandrine rear-facing. But recently, my friend who I had lent my Fisher Price Safe Embrace Infant seat to gave it back to me because her son now weighs 24 lbs and the maximum weight is 22 lbs. I figured that since Rear-facing is safer, and Nyssa is only around 18-20 lbs, I'd put Sandrine back rear-facing for at LEAST the winter if Nyssa hovers around the same weight, since winter is more dangerous for driving. So they're both rear-facing again, and here's the photo of them! Nyssa is also just over 1 now so by Canadian standards, a lot of people would have turned her around already anyhow since she can sit unaided, her feet touch the seatback and she "was" at one point around 20 lbs anyhow (walking and mobility made her lose a bit). Sandrine still fits the RF requirements of the RA: under 33 lbs (she's about 29 or so) and head is still fully contained within the seatshell, even though Britax allows for the tips of the ears to come even with the seatshell before the seat is considered outgrown, EVEN rear-facing! My only personal concern now is that Nyssa is now less protected since she a) has no EPS foam and b) has no RF tether on the FPSE-i seat AND it doesn't have any anti-rebound features like my beloved FP SIV did. ::sigh:: But she goes in the middle to compensate I hope. Oh, and By the way...yes that IS the same coat on Nyssa in this shot as was on Sandrine LAST winter up top of the page! /-§§-/ À environ 7,5 mois, le SIV de Nyssa commençait à être petit et la gance pour ajuster le harnais s'éfluchait donc je l'ai renvoyé à Fisher Price pour un remboursement complèt. À ce moment, il fallait mettre Nyssa dans le Roundabout, dos à la route, et Sandrine dans mon Maxi-Cosi Priori (MCP). Waaaah! Ce n'est pas que je n'aime pas le MCP...au contraire, je l'aime beaucoup. Mais j'étais déçue de ne pas pouvoir laisser Sandrine dans le Roundabout dos à la route, vu qu'elle y faisait encore. Mais tout recemment, mon amie à qui j'avais prêté mon Fisher Price Safe Embrace Infant seat (FPSE-i) me l'a redonné puisque son fils était rendu à 24 livres et sa limite n'est que 22 livres. Donc j'ai mis Nyssa dedans pour l'hiver (j'espère, si elle reste autour de ses 18-20 livres qu'elle pèse présentement). Donc j'ai pu remettre Sandrine dos à la route pour les mois les plus dangereux au moins, pour l'hiver! Yé! Nyssa a eu un an déjà (!) donc bien des gens l'auraient déjà virée de bord ici au Canada, mais vu que c'est tellement plus sécuritaire dos à la route, je la laisse comme ça Elle a déjà pèsé 20 livres mais en marchant elle en a perdu un peu. Sandrine fait encore dans le Roundabout amplement bien, à 29 livres (sa limite en est 33) et sa tête est encore entièrement dans la coque du siège, même si Britax est l'exception au règle du "1 pouce au dessus de la tête" puisqu'ils permettent que le haut des oreilles de l'enfant soient égales au coque dur du siège avant de devoir arrêter de l'utiliser, même dos à la route! En passant, oui c'est le même manteau sur Nyssa dans cette photo que sur Sandrine l'hiver dernier en haut de la page!.
