Nyssa Winter Dionne est née à 13:44, le 7 novembre 2002, après un travail d'environ 14,5 heures. Elle pèsait 7 livres 1 oz (3200g) et mésurait 19 po. (50 cm) de long. Elle est née à la Maison de Naissance Mimosa sur le banc d'accouchement en la présence des 2 sage-femmes, ma belle-mère, sa grande soeur Sandrine, son papa et 2 stagières (sage-femmes).

Nyssa commence à sourire à 2 mois!/Nyssa's starting to smile, 2 mos!

Nyssa est allaitée. Nyssa a été allaitée exclusivement du côté gauche toute sa vie. Elle a grandi très bien et a commencé des solides en petite quantité vers 6 mois. Elle a maintenant près de 2 ans et c'est un petit singe qui grimpe partout et est malcommode comme ça ne se peut pas! Mais très très gentille aussi. Nyssa est née coiffée (enveloppée encore dans son sac amniotique) ce qui est censé être un porte-bonheur/Nyssa was born in a caul which is supposed to bring good luck and indicate that she could "have the sight".

Nyssa Winter Dionne was born at 13:44 on November the 7th 2002, after a 14.5 hour labour. She weighed in at 7 lbs 1 oz (3200 g) and was 19 inches (50 cm) long. She was born at La Maison de Naissances Mimosa on a birth stool, in the presence of our 2 midwives, 2 student midwives, my mother-in-law, her big sister Sandrine, and her father. Nyssa has to compete for her milk with her older sister...well, not really, since she only nurses off the left breast and Sandrine has the right. Nyssa seems to have more than enough with her one breast anyhow. She never nursed off the other side for her nourrishment and still doesn't. She started solids around 6 months of age and is still nursing lots at almost 2 years. She climbs everywhere, the little monkey that she is, and Trouble is her middle name! But she is very endearing too.

Nyssa n'est pas certaine quoi faire avec un Jolly Jumper encore, mais elle commence déjà à faire des pattes à 1 mois!/Nyssa isn't quite sure what to do with a Jolly Jumper at this point in time, but she's starting to push up with her legs already at one month!
